Tamworth's Ronald McDonald House is on the grounds of the Tamworth Base Hospital, and opened on Saturday September 6, 2008.

It's home away from home for families of seriously ill children being treated at hospital, providing accommodation and respite for their parents and carers. It will also cater for children on day visits that are forced to travel long distances to receive medical treatment.
